FAQ: A La Carte

HOW IT WORKS

Browse our selection of gorgeous blooms and choose exactly what you need for your wedding or event. Add desired items to your cart and check out. Choose pick up or delivery and that’s it!

All orders must be placed at least 10 days prior to the wedding/event date. If order is placed with less than 10 days, we will be in touch to confirm details. If we are not able to complete the order, we will cancel the order and process a refund.

THE DETAILS

DELIVERY/PICKUP

At checkout, you will have the choice to pick up the flowers or have them delivered to the venue of your choice. You may pick up the flowers at our shop at no additional cost. We recommend picking up the day of your wedding/event to ensure the freshest blooms possible. We deliver to Chicago, and surrounding Chicagoland suburbs, and Northwest Indiana, and Southwestern Michigan. Delivery fees start at $50 depending on the location (based on exact mileage). All deliveries include one location drop-off service only. Additional locations will incur additional fees. We do not ship wedding flowers 

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

If you need to cancel for whatever reason, you may do so 15 days prior to your event. All refunds will be subject to a 10% service fee. No refunds will be given once the deadline has passed.

CUSTOMIZATIONS

We've curated these options based on their popularity and in order to simplify the process we do not offer modifications.  If you love our style, we think you'll be thrilled with the freshest seasonal blooms that we pull for your arrangements.  If you are looking for larger scale, custom floral design - check out our Custom Floral Design option.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • Zuzu’s Petals is not responsible for the unpacking or setting up of any A La Carte wedding floral, unless set up has been added.
  • Do to the nature of working with live product, Zuzu’s Petals reserves the right to make floral substitutions as necessary. Please understand that we are working with a natural product that is subject to weather conditions and availability. The photos shown are a representation of how the arrangements will look but actual designs are dependent on the artistic interpretation of the designer.
  • Zuzu’s Petals is not responsible for the condition of the flowers after they are delivered. We always make it our goal to make sure the blooms are at their best before they leave our shop. We include care instructions in your confirmation email to help our clients keep the arrangements in top condition.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ORDERING

  • When should I place my A La Carte Order?
    • You can place your order anytime up until 10 days before your wedding date!
  • Are you available on “X” date?
    • Most likely yes! We take A La Carte orders 7 days a week. In the instance that we are booked for your date, we will contact you.
  • Can I place my order for a Sunday or holiday?
    • Yes! We are closed on major holidays. However, we will schedule a specific time for pick up and will have someone meet you at our shop. Deliveries are not always guaranteed on floral holidays such as Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day.
  • Can I pick up my order a day before my wedding?
    • Yes! We ALWAYS recommend picking up/delivering the day of for maximum freshness. However, we understand that is not always possible. If you need your florals early, we recommend keeping them in a cool place away from any direct heat source. DO NOT put in a fridge unless it is at 40 degrees. Make sure to replenish the water daily.
  • Can I add to my order?
    • Yes, you may place as many orders as you need as long as it is before our 10 Day deadline. We will add subsequent orders to your original.

CUSTOMIZATIONS

  • Can I customize my A La Carte Order?
    • In order to keep the process streamlined and affordable, we do not offer customizations. Some slight changes may be allowed if they do not affect the integrity of the original design. Make your requests known when checking out in the notes section. We will do our best to accommodate but please know it is not a 100% guarantee! Some customizations we have allowed in the past are slight color changes and ribbon color changes
  • Will my bouquet look exactly like the photo?
    • No, but that is not a bad thing! Flowers are unique and vary depending on the time of year. Take peace in knowing that your bouquet will be made uniquely for you and will not look like every other bouquet in the same collection. Depending on what we have in stock that week, we will try to add a few unique items to make your florals extra special! Also, note that certain flowers seen in the photos (ahem, peonies) are not available year round. But if we have them, you bet we will use them!

GENERAL

  • What if I don’t want a big bouquet?
    • Many brides choose the attendant/bridesmaid bouquet for a more understated option!
  • What do you recommend for an arbor?
    • We recommend ordering a garland (with or without floral!) Simply choose the correct length for your arbor. We suggest adding extra length for draping. Attach to your arbor with zip ties and that’s it!
  • Can I mix and match collections?
    • Absolutely! 
  • Do you offer bulk flowers?
    • We do not offer bulk flowers off our A La Carte Menu at this time. If you need a few extra stems, feel free to check out our brick-and-mortar shop. We have a gorgeous assortment any day of the week!
  • I don’t see “X” on the menu, do you have it available?
    • We do our best to keep our menu simple without an overwhelming amount of options. What you see online is all we have available at this time. We are open to suggestions and if there is a large enough demand for a certain item, we will add it!

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

  • Can I cancel my A La Carte order?
    • You may cancel your order no later than 15 days before your wedding date.
  • Do you offer refunds?
    • We will give a full refund if the order is canceled 15 days prior. Note that you will be charged a 10% service fee.
  • Can I make changes to my order once it has been placed?
    • Yes, additions may be made no less than 7 days before scheduled pick up or delivery date. Please email us at hello@zpchicago.com
